Enchanted Forest 2001

The Enchanted forest is a private campground set on 80 acres of beautiful forest. The property adjoins another 2000+ acres of pristine Vermont forest land with double and singletrack trails cut thoughout. Terrain and topography vary considerably from mild to wild, so all are welcome and sure to be entertained. The amenities are slim, but there is, besides the trails, a long dirt road leading to a local swiiming hole within the falls of a typical rocky Vermont river, a crystal clear gravel bottomed swimming pond just yards from the campsite. We'll be just 15 miles from Mt. Snow, 10 miles from Stratton Mtn., and about an hour or so from Killington. The site is located just on the back side of Magic Mountain (at a former ski area known as Timber RIdge). The site has a large firepit, but no grills, picnic tables, showers or restrooms (we're getting a portapotty). Bring anything you think you may need to be comfortable. Including Games such as Boci, frisby, horse shoes, etc.  There is a large parking area a few hundred yards away that will accomodate us and a wagon to haul all your coolers and gear.

The riding was very hilly and quite wet in some places, but the challenges were worth it. The Trails consisted of a mixture of some singletrack and largely old jeep-type logging roads. There was plenty of fun technical bits to play on.
